First Week of Kindergarten September 2015!

Well we have all managed to adjust to our first week of full day kindergarten!  We have enjoyed making "Our Recipes For Success" at school yesterday. We talked about qualities such as fairness, honesty, kindness, teamwork, effort, pride, curiosity & excitement to learn as being the necessary 'ingredients' to enjoy being at school each day.

Hopefully your child is starting to come home with new words in French that he/she is willing to share with the family? We are continuing to work on our Back to School theme -- La Rentrée. We will soon be starting our Pommes -- Apples theme. I have included below this note links to both our themes that we are covering, should you choose to listen to the words with your child. I have also included some You Tube links to some French songs that we have done so far if you should choose to sing them with your child. Upcoming important dates for the months of September & October:

- September 30th Terry Fox School Run. Come & join us if you'd like to it will start at 10:15am
- October 9th Picture Day!
- October 12th Thanksgiving -- No School.
- October 14th PLC 1 hr early dismissal.
- October 15th BC Great Shake Out!
- October 16th Hot Lunch day!
- October 22nd -- Kindergarten Screening for hearing & vision.
- October 23rd Non Instructional Day.
- October 30th Halloween celebrations/costume dress up at school and Halloween Dance at 5pm!
